Wildfires in Vail are a matter of when not if they will occur. The Town of Vail and Vail Fire and Emergency Services are progressively working to implement community-wide fire protection projects and ensure aggressive response to wildfire near our community. Together with your efforts to prepare your family and home by following our step by step guide we can build a "Fire Adapted" Vail.


West Vail Master Plan

The West Vail Master Plan will be a community blueprint for environmentally and economically sustainable land use, zoning, and development decisions in the West Vail neighborhood. The plan will also focus on enhancing transportation connectivity and mobility, housing opportunities, and economic development.


Residences at Main Vail

More than 70 new deed-restricted homes are coming to Vail
The Vail Town Council has expressed their intent to complete a 100% deed restricted residential for-rent development on the town-owned Lot 3, Middle Creek site, located at 129 North Frontage Road West. The Town of Vail will partner with Triumph Development to complete the new development.  In this public-private partnership, the Town will retain ownership of the land and the new building with Triumph Development providing fee-based developer services to the Town.


South Frontage Road Roundabout Project

South Frontage Road Roundabout Construction Wrapping up for Winter Season
Traffic is flowing through Vail's seventh roundabout. On-going minor work and clean up will be taking place through Wednesday, Nov. 24.  At that time, construction will be complete for the winter except for the installation of traffic signs which have been delayed until early December.


E-Vail Courier: An e-delivery pilot for Vail

Better for our community, better for our planet
The E-Vail Courier is a pilot program to test the effectiveness of removing oversized vehicles from Vail Village and replacing them with smaller electric delivery vehicles. The purpose is to reduce vehicles idling in the village center and return Vail Village to its original vision as a pedestrian core. The Vail Police Department has contracted with local logistics company, 106 West, to help facilitate the loading and delivery operations in Vail Village.
