Below are the initiatives and projects listed as part of the mission and vision of the TOV’s Cultural Heritage Committee:
- Vail Public Library has created Virtually Vail, our digital archives initiative which has 4 components: Vintage Vail Quilt, Vail Valley Voices, Art in Vail and Vail Area History. https://vaillibrary.com/virtuallyvail/
- The Friends of Vail Public Library support the many facets of the digital archives initiative. This includes archival projects for the library, the town and the Summervail Art Workshop Legacy Project.
- The Friends of the Library also support the Vail Trail Digitization project. To date, the years 1965 to 1979 have been digitized and are available through the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. https://www.coloradohistoricnewspapers.org
