Eagle County 911 Authority Board
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute Title 29, Article 11 the Eagle County 911 Authority Board is an advisory board serving the Vail Public Safety Communications Center. The county appointed board members oversee the collection and distribution of 911 telephone surcharges that are collected in and allocated to Eagle County. Surcharge collection and expenditures are utilized to provide the citizens and guests of Eagle County access to the 911 emergency telephone system.
The board also acts as Eagle County's addressing authority working in conjunction with county and local municipalities and telephone service providers to assure that telephone number and location information is passed to the communications center in a manner that aids in the most efficient and effective response from local emergency service providers.
