The Explorer Program’s 39 members meet regularly throughout the county to learn verbal de-escalation, traffic control and more from advisers with the Vail, Avon, Eagle and Basalt Police Departments.

One Commander, one Deputy Chief, and two Sergeants provide an overview of the law enforcement profession to these young adults from 14-21 years of age.
