Pirateship Park Work Begins Next Week

Post Date:04/17/2024 10:14 AM

Town of Vail crews and contractors are scheduled to make improvements at Pirateship Park this spring. The park will close on or around April 25, with work expected to take four to six weeks.

The work will include replacing wood decks, installing a new ladder to the crow’s nest, adding a new climber, repairing sidewalks and repainting the entire structure. The town will strive to complete the improvements prior to the start of the GoPro Mountain Games on June 6.

Work in other Town of Vail parks this spring will include new swings at Bighorn Park, a new spinner feature at Stephens Park and maintenance on the wood structures at Ford Park.

For more information, contact Town of Vail Senior Landscape Architect Gregg Barrie at 970-479-2337 or at gbarrie@vail.gov.
