APD

The Avon Police Department (APD) consists of a Chief, one lieutenant, three sergeants, one investigator, twelve police officers and two secretaries.

The jurisdiction for the APD includes all of the town of Avon, from approximately MM 164.5 to MM 167 on I-70; from the western edge of the Aspens MHP east to and including Super Wal-Mart, and Home Depot; and south to the roundabout at Hwy 6 and Avon Rd (this includes the roundabout and The Gates, but not the other properties surrounding it). It includes all of Swift Gulch Rd, from Nottingham Rd to Post Blvd, including Buffalo Ridge Apartments. On Hwy 6, EB from Avon Rd to the end of Eaglebend Ph III, and WB from Stonebridge Dr to Avon Rd. Included in the city limits: Sunridge, Eaglebend, Brookside and Stonebridge Condos and Wildridge, Wildwood and Mountain Star subdivisions.
