GEFPD

GEFPD is a combination paid/volunteer Fire Department with a salaried Chief. They have one station, Station 9, also called Shelton Station, at 425 Third St in Eagle.

The Eagle Fire Department responds from the Wolcott MM 157 on I-70 to MM 143.

On Highway 6, Eagle Fire responds from the intersection of the Wolcott Spur Rd and Hwy 6 (including the town of Wolcott) to Cooley Mesa Rd MM 146 and up Cooley Mesa Rd to Alkali Creek, including Costco.

They respond north to mile marker 7 on Hwy 131, and will respond to the county line (MM 21.5) on Hwy 131 and to the upper part of the Colorado River Rd to the Blue Hill/Catamount Rd area (MM 26), for ALL motor vehicle accidents, and anytime at Rock Creek Volunteer Fire Department’s request, or if RCVFD does not respond to tones within three minutes.

To the south, EFD responds to the county line on Brush Creek Rd and to Fulford and Sylvan Lake if the roads are accessible. EFD responds to all medical calls with the ambulance.
