Eagle County Airport Fire

The Eagle County Regional Airport has a dedicated fire station (Station 10) is staffed year-round.  Their staff is paid, and is trained in both firefighting and medical response.

 Eagle County Airport Fire currently operates with three specialized airport fire trucks. ARFF 1 is a 1500 gallon, 2012 Oshkosh Striker 1500; ARFF 2 is a 1500 gallon, 1994 Oshkosh T1500; and ARFF 3 is a 3000 gallon, 2006 Oshkosh Striker 3000 with a Snozzle.

ARFF responds to all fire, medical and plane incidents at the airport and within close proximity to the airport.  

Our Mission:
It is the mission of the Eagle County Airport Fire Department to preserve life and property, promote public safety and foster economic growth through leadership, management and actions, as an all risk life safety response provider to the Eagle County Regional Airport community.

The Eagle County Airport Fire Department will focus its efforts on responding rapidly to emergencies, providing appropriate intervention and community education.
