VMR

The Vail Mountain Rescue Group (VMRG) is a volunteer group that provides search and rescue in the backcountry.  On searches in Eagle County they work under the authority of the Sheriff.

The VMRG is the primary responder for backcountry, whitewater, lost hunters, as well as missing juveniles anywhere in Eagle County including Basalt and Ruedi areas.  They will also respond to any area of the state when requested by the local authority. VMRG does not respond inside ski area boundaries. Their cache location is located at 1055 Edwards Village Blvd.
