On Aug. 5 a black 2000 Sierra pickup was stolen from the Vail Transportation Center. A subject was seen on video in the area of the vehicle around the time of the theft wearing a gray shirt, black backpack, black hat with lettering on the front and side, and black pants and shoes. The pickup was recorded exiting the Vail Village parking structure at approximately 9:30 p.m. 

The vehicle was located in the area of Spring Creek Rd in Gypsum on Aug. 6. The interior of the pickup was on fire and a Smith and Wesson .45 caliber handgun was stolen from the vehicle.
